Hvar WiFi Revolution: zzzzapp! Arrives on Hvar, 10 Installations

A very useful free tourist information service arrived on Hvar yesterday, the first location in the world for the installation of award-winning zzzzapp! software outside of the company's home town of Split. 

Fresh from its first prize at Startup Live Split last week, zzzzapp! has sold its first franchise - the island of Hvar - and its technicians were busy visiting various prime locations on the island in the last 24 hours, installing the hardware, which will be followed shortly by the sortware - and then the fun will really begin.

The island's first zzzzapp! installation was at Hvar Touristik in Stari Grad, whose signal now covers the bus station, allowing tourists to browse fresh Hvar information and special offers - updated daily - wherever they see a zzzzapp! logo, such as this one at Hula Hula in Hvar Town. 

An initial installation of ten locations was completed this afternoon, with a second wave of 15-20 locations due in the next fortnight. Locations installed so far are:

Above is an example of a real landing page hosted by the Tourist Board of Split (in case anyone thinks this is illegal). Quite simply, the host controls the banner at the top, where he promotes his special offers with revolving banners, with hyperlinks to pages with more information. There is also a group of useful links for tourist information - weather, ferries etc. And in the middle, some more revolving banners with deals and offers for Hvar tourists right here right now!

As more locations sign up for the service, so zzzzapp!'s quality free information and great offers will be available in more places.
