Learn to Scuba Dive on Hvar This Summer
For me, I could just sit on the new terrace all day long with a cold beer and watch the world go by, but most people who come along to the Viking Diving Centre just below Hotel Podstine come for the fabulous underwater experience in Hvar's water. Working with a very friendly and professional team, the Viking diving experience is for many one of the highlights of their visits to Hvar.
Never dived before, or looking to take your skills to the next level? In addition to a range of tours, Viking offers a full range of courses, from beginners as young as ten upwards. Check out their site for their complete offer, and read on below for an overview of their courses.
And don't forget to check out the terrace. It's great!
PADI Discover Scuba Diving Experience
Have you ever wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater? If you want to find out but aren’t quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, Discover Scuba Diving will let you try scuba to see if you like it.
While not an actual scuba certification, during the Discover Scuba Diving experience you’ll learn how to use scuba equipment in shallow water and get a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world.
There is nothing like breathing underwater for the very first time. It takes a little getting used to – after all, human beings weren’t designed to do that – but after a few minutes of awestruck wonder, most participants realize how easy scuba diving really is. The fun part? It’s all fun!
Plus, you can get credit! As our Discover Scuba Diving program includes an actual scuba dive in open water, your experience may count toward PADI Scuba Diver or Open Water Diver certification, putting you a step ahead of the game when you decide to go for it.
