Would You Bank with This Man?

One of the most interesting things about the Carnival as a non-native is watching how people enter into the spirit of the celebrations, throwing normal reserve to the wind and letting their hair down and having a really good time. 

There have been some excellent pictures surfacing on Facebook all week, but this one is my favourite of the lot. For the many foreigners who have bought property or opened bank accounts at PBZ in Jelsa, Benko at the Banko has been a rock, combining sartorial elegance with dedicated professionalism and great humour.

I have yet to see him anything but immaculately dressed and was convinced he slept in his tie, but in truth, he is just a beer drinking local like the rest of us. Benko, we salute you, and don't you dare bring your tie to the next coffee...
